About This Spot

Stepping into Uro Cafe, you'll find yourself in a quietly spirited corner of Brooklyn that balances the familiar comforts of a neighborhood spot with a touch of unexpected character. Tucked just a short stroll from McCarren Park, this café invites a steady, unhurried rhythm—the kind that encourages lingering over a warm cup or a quick pause in an otherwise bustling day.

The space itself speaks softly but distinctly. With limited seating—just a small window counter and a solitary table inside—there’s an intimacy to the setting, made even more lively by the tables lining the sidewalk when the weather allows. The décor leans into an intriguing blend of vintage charm and a laid-back, almost bro-ish vibe, creating an atmosphere that’s both approachable and subtly intriguing. It’s the kind of place where regulars and newcomers alike exchange nods over the hum of carefully curated music and the steady hiss of espresso machines.

The heart of the experience, naturally, is in the coffee. Whether you’re savoring a straightforward drip or indulging in a cappuccino with a velvety swirl of foam, the drinks here carry a quiet confidence. There’s a sense of craft without pretense, evident in thoughtful touches like a well-balanced dirty chai or a caramel latte that quietly warms you from the inside out. Alongside these, a modest selection of freshly baked croissants and pastries offers a gentle complement, perfect for those moments when a little sweetness feels just right.

Part of Uro Cafe’s charm lies in its simplicity and the way it genuinely feels shaped by its community. The staff moves with an easy friendliness, welcoming without fuss, and the café operates on a cash or Venmo basis, deepening that connection to local habits and rhythms. Even without modern payment trappings or in-house restrooms, the place somehow manages to feel like a deliberate retreat from the fast pace outside.

Ultimately, Uro Cafe is more than just a stop for caffeine. It’s a place where the casual hum of everyday life meets a subtle, inviting energy—where moments between sips carry an unspoken sense of familiarity and discovery. Here, at 277 Driggs Ave, the coffee and the company blend into a quietly joyful Brooklyn experience that leaves you thinking you’ve found a local secret, but really, it’s just a place that feels like home.

I used to come here everyday for the best cortado I've ever had! Staff is also so so nice and always playing awesome music. Croissants are great too.

Great neighborhood coffee spot! Every single person on the staff is the super friendly, the coffee is awesome and also best prices in town! Small selection of pastries that are good for a snack as well! If looking for something new and exciting try the White Zombie, or in the summer they have a great homemade Lemonade with a special secret recipe !

Slay coffeeshop by McCarren Park! Lowkey this cafe is so different from any other cafe I have been to in regards to its decor and the vibe it tries to cultivate. It is very bro-ey but also kind of antique? Anywho, I got chai and it was amaze, also prices are so slay! Do keep in mind that it is a cash only/venmo only. Staff was so kind as well.

Was at a concert at the Warsaw and needed some caffeine and something to keep me warm. I got a caramel latte and a hot chocolate and both were really good. Cute inside. Friendly service. No bathroom. No Apple Pay.

a tiny and cozy cafe, that's how gp starts to be a showcase... good and cheap coffee, and when you add a quick service, it means that it's worth stopping in and trying...

A cute little coffee spot with a straightforward menu and friendly staff. Had a Black Eye Chai Latte (also known as a Dirty Chai) and it was delicious. An easy recommendation for a quick drink!
